You are prohibited from using the Sites or services for any unlawful purposes, including fraud, misrepresentation, or interference with security measures, systems, or access controls.
5. Pricing, Quotes, and Product Availability
5.1 Pricing Volatility
Prices for precious metals are subject to market volatility and are confirmed at the time your Order is placed and accepted as described in these Terms.
5.2 Phone Quotes
Phone quotes are valid only during the call. Any discussion or indicative pricing during a call is not binding unless and until an invoice is generated and issued by Aurora, as described below.
5.3 Products or Services
Certain products or services may be available exclusively online and are subject to limited quantities and availability.

We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, and to update information as necessary.
5.5 Pricing or Listing Errors; Right to Cancel or Substitute
If a website pricing error occurs (including due to technology, data, vendor feeds, descriptions, or sudden market movement), Aurora reserves the right to cancel or refuse the Order, even after confirmation and/or even if paid in full, and/or to propose an alternative solution (including substitution or other arrangements) at Aurora’s discretion.
6. Order Formation, Price Locks, Forward Nature of Transactions
6.1 When an Order Is “Placed” and “Locked”
Precious metals transactions are time-sensitive. Aurora treats Orders as forward market transactions once they are generated.
A. Website Orders
An Order becomes “placed” and the price becomes “locked” when the Customer submits the cart/checkout and the Order is generated by the Site.
B. Phone Orders
An Order becomes “placed” and the price becomes “locked” when Aurora generates and issues an invoice. A phone quote or phone conversation alone is not binding unless and until an invoice is generated.
C. In-Person / Authorized Messenger Channel Orders
An Order becomes “placed” and “locked” when Aurora confirms the transaction terms in a binding form, which may include an invoice, written confirmation, checkout submission, or DocuSign (as applicable).
6.2 Payment Readiness and Timing
Customers must be payment-ready when placing an Order. Orders are locked when generated, and payment must be completed as required under Section 7.
6.3 Quantity Limits and Order Refusals
We reserve the right to refuse any Order and to limit quantities purchased per person or household. Users must provide accurate billing and account information.
6.4 Large Orders Over $50,000
Orders exceeding $50,000:
- may require additional verification and trading permissions,
- may be restricted to ID-verified customers with purchase history, unless Aurora makes other arrangements, and
- require a 50% deposit unless Aurora agrees otherwise.
Large orders may require phone completion and additional verification at Aurora’s discretion.
7. Customer Payment Terms
7.1 Accepted Payment Methods (Customer Purchases)
Aurora may accept the following payment methods for Customer purchases, subject to approval and verification:
- Zelle
- Credit card
- Debit card
- ACH
- Wire transfer
- eCheck (and/or other check-like electronic payment mechanisms)
Aurora does not accept cash for customer purchases.
7.2 Payment Deadline
Payment must be completed within twenty-four (24) hours of Order placement (Order generation), unless Aurora agrees otherwise in writing.
Aurora encourages all Customers to complete payment immediately after placing an Order.
7.3 Late or Missing Payment; Cancellation and Re-Ordering
If payment is not completed within the required timeframe:
- the Order is cancelled, and
- the Customer may place a new Order only at the then-current market price.
7.4 “One-Strike” / Repeated Late Payment Policy
Aurora may exercise discretion for a first late-payment cancellation depending on circumstances. However:
- If late payment occurs again after an initial cancellation, the Customer may be banned and lose access to the Sites and services, no exceptions, subject to Aurora’s discretion.
7.5 Payment Holds and Clearing (eCheck / Check-Like Payments)
For eCheck and any check-like payment:
- Aurora may hold shipment for up to ten (10) days while payment clears or is confirmed.
- Aurora may delay shipment, cancel an Order, or require alternative payment if a payment is reversed, returned, or deemed high-risk.
7.6 Bounced/Returned Payments
If any payment is returned, reversed, or fails (including a bounced check or failed eCheck), the Customer is responsible for:
- any bank fees Aurora is charged, plus
- any other costs Aurora incurs (including shipping interception/return costs, collections costs, and administrative costs).
Aurora may suspend or revoke the Customer’s access due to returned payments.
8. Credit/Debit Card Payments and Authorization
8.1 Approval, ID Verification, and Address Matching
Credit and debit card use requires:
- approval by Aurora and/or Aurora’s payment processor,
- ID verification, and
- billing address and shipping address matching.
Aurora reserves the right to impose additional conditions or to refuse card payments.
8.2 DocuSign Requirement for Card Customers
Aurora requires completion of a DocuSign authorization for:
- every first-time credit/debit card customer, and
- renewal every 12 months thereafter.
8.3 Billing Descriptor
Charges will appear on your credit/debit card statement as “Aurora Gold and Silver LLC”.
8.4 Convenience Fees
Aurora does not directly charge a card-processing fee. However, your merchant processor may offer credit/debit card payment with a convenience fee. Any such fee is assessed by the processor and is not controlled by Aurora.
8.5 Dispute Process for Card Transactions
Any disputes or claims regarding a card transaction must be submitted in writing to info@AuroraGoldShop.com within ten (10) business days of the transaction date.
8.6 Chargebacks and Access Revocation
A chargeback or attempted chargeback may be treated as a breach of these Terms and/or as an indication of fraud risk. If you initiate a chargeback:
- Aurora may immediately revoke your access to the Sites and services, and
- Aurora may pursue available remedies, including collections and legal remedies.
8.7 Authorization Duration and Cancellation
Card authorization remains in effect until you provide written notice of cancellation. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@AuroraGoldShop.com or mailed to:
Aurora Gold and Silver LLC
1 E. Benton St, Unit 104
Aurora, IL 60505
United States
8.8 Arbitration Agreement for Card Authorization
You agree that any disputes or claims arising out of or relating to card authorization will be resolved through binding arbitration, as outlined in Section 32 (Dispute Resolution).
9. Market Loss, Cancellations, Defaults, and Collections
9.1 No Customer-Initiated Cancellations Once an Order Is Locked
Once an Order is placed and locked (Section 6), it may not be cancelled by the Customer. If an Order is not paid in time, Aurora may cancel it as described in Section 7.
9.2 Market Loss / Market Gain on Cancelled or Defaulted Orders
If an Order is cancelled due to nonpayment, default, or other Customer breach after an Order is locked:
- any market loss, hedging loss, offsetting costs, and related expenses may be the responsibility of the Customer, and Aurora may seek recovery through any lawful means; and
- any market gain realized in connection with Aurora’s offsetting actions remains the property of Aurora.
In such scenarios, the Customer may lose access to the Sites and services.
9.3 Remedies for Default
If a Customer defaults or breaches these Terms, Aurora may, without limiting other rights:
- charge a card on file (where permitted and authorized),
- apply setoff (Section 10),
- cancel Orders, suspend accounts, or permanently ban access,
- refer the matter to collections, and/or
- pursue legal remedies.
9.4 Costs and Expenses of Collection
If Aurora must take action to collect amounts owed or enforce these Terms, you agree to pay Aurora’s reasonable costs and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and collection agency fees, where permitted by law.
10. Setoff and Application of Funds
Aurora may apply any funds in its possession (including credits, refunds, payouts, or other amounts otherwise payable) to satisfy amounts owed by you to Aurora, and may offset any amounts Aurora owes you against amounts you owe Aurora, as Aurora determines appropriate.
11. Customer Shipping Policy (Retail Purchases)
11.1 Shipping Rates
Flat Rate Shipping: Aurora charges a flat rate of $40.00 for all shipments within the United States.
11.2 Shipping Timeframe
Most items are shipped within 1–2 business days of payment in full, but Aurora asks for 3–4 business days. Please allow up to five (5) business days before inquiring about the status of your shipment.
If an item is delayed, the product page may display the expected delay. Aurora may ship all items in one box; one item delayed may delay the rest of the items in an Order. Aurora also reserves the right to make partial shipments at its discretion.
11.3 Methods of Shipping
Aurora determines the most efficient and cost-effective shipping method for your Order, which may include FedEx, UPS, or USPS, and may include services such as FedEx Ground, USPS Priority Mail, or expedited services. The Customer does not select the carrier or service level unless Aurora expressly agrees.
11.4 No P.O. Boxes by Default
Aurora does not deliver to P.O. Boxes by default. Customers may contact the trading desk to inquire about special USPS-only delivery to P.O. Boxes, subject to Aurora’s approval.
11.5 Tracking & Delivery
A tracking number will be provided once your Order has shipped. Delivery typically occurs within 2–7 business days. Some Orders with longer preparation times may ship in multiple packages and may not all dispatch on the same day.
11.6 Discreet Packaging
All shipments are packaged discreetly and do not reference Aurora’s company name or the contents (such as gold, silver, or bullion).
11.7 Signature Required; Authorized Recipient
Aurora requires signature upon delivery by default.
An “authorized recipient” means the named person at the shipping address only. Aurora is not responsible for packages left unattended or signed for by unauthorized persons (e.g., doormen, neighbors, employees at rented mailboxes such as the UPS Store). Such instructions and/or circumstances may void insurance coverage.
11.8 Insurance Coverage; Risk of Loss
All shipments are fully insured subject to the carrier and insurer terms and your compliance with delivery requirements.
Aurora’s liability generally ends upon:
- carrier delivery confirmation and signature capture by an authorized recipient; or
- if you request hold-for-pickup at a carrier location, upon delivery to and receipt by the carrier location staff as reflected in carrier tracking and delivery records.
11.9 Lost or Stolen Packages
If a package is lost or stolen, Aurora will either replace the product or issue a full refund once the carrier has declared the package lost or stolen, subject to insurance claim requirements.
Your cooperation may be required in filing an insurance claim or assisting with an investigation. Cooperation may include, without limitation: photos, a police report, an affidavit, carrier forms, and any other documentation reasonably requested. Failure to assist may result in forfeiture of replacement or refund rights.
11.10 Damaged Packages / Cosmetic Condition
Aurora is not responsible for cosmetic damage, scratches, tarnish, minor dings, bending, or similar condition issues when the Customer received the precious metal product and it otherwise matches the description (including metal type, weight, and authenticity). Such issues do not constitute “defective” or “not as described” for purposes of refunds.
11.11 No International Shipping
Aurora does not offer international shipping. All shipments are limited to addresses within the United States.
11.12 Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing and shipping information. Aurora is not responsible for misdelivery due to incorrect address information provided by the Customer.
12. Customer Returns and Refund Policy
12.1 All Sales Are Final
All purchases of bullion from Aurora are binding and final. Due to the nature of precious metal trading, once a trade is executed, it cannot be canceled or refunded.
12.2 Price Fluctuation Acknowledgement
Precious metals prices can fluctuate between the time of your Order execution and the physical delivery of your products. By making a purchase, you acknowledge and accept this risk of price fluctuation.
12.3 Limited Exceptions to Final Sale
Except as provided below, all sales are final. The only exceptions are:
- Insured shipping loss/theft processed under Section 11 (when a carrier declares the package lost or stolen and claim requirements are satisfied), and
- Verified defective or not-as-described items, subject to Section 12.4.
12.4 Defective or Not as Described Claims
Returns are accepted only for items that are defective or not as described, and only if:
- Aurora is notified within five (5) days of receipt, and
- the Customer obtains a Return Merchandise Authorization (“RMA”) before returning anything.
No RMA = No return accepted.
12.5 Return Condition Requirements
Returned items must be:
- untampered with,
- in original packaging, and
- in the condition required by Aurora’s RMA instructions.
Aurora may reject returns that show signs of tampering or that do not meet these conditions.
12.6 “Not as Described” Standard
If the product delivered matches the essential description (including precious metal content and weight), it will not be considered “not as described” solely because of differences in brand, mint, or other non-material attributes, unless Aurora expressly promised that specific attribute.
12.7 Return Shipping Costs
Depending on the scenario, the Customer may be required to pay return shipping up-front. Aurora may, in its discretion and depending on the outcome of inspection, credit reasonable return shipping costs.
12.8 Refunds / Replacements
If a return is approved, Aurora may, at Aurora’s discretion and/or based on agreement with the Customer:
- refund to the original payment method, and/or
- provide store credit, and/or
- provide a replacement or like item.
12.9 No Non-Defective Returns; No Restocking Fees
Aurora does not accept non-defective returns. Because non-defective returns are not accepted, there are no restocking fees for non-defective returns.
12.10 Contact Information for Refund/Return Questions
If you have questions or concerns about your Order, contact Aurora at:
Phone: 447-444-COIN (2646)

13. Seller Terms & Conditions (Selling to Aurora)
By shipping, delivering, or otherwise selling items to Aurora, you (“Seller”) agree to this Seller section, which governs all Seller transactions.

Aurora provides services for the purchase, melting, refining, and resale of precious metals, coins, and jewelry.
- Right to Refuse Service: Aurora may refuse service or terminate any transaction at any time.
- Accuracy & Honesty: Sellers must provide accurate descriptions and declared values. Misrepresentation may affect valuation or result in forfeiture.
- ID Verification: A valid government-issued photo ID is required. Aurora may use third-party verification services, including DocuSign.
- Legal Compliance (AML/OFAC/Conflict Minerals): Seller represents and warrants compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the USA PATRIOT Act, Bank Secrecy Act, and OFAC sanctions. Seller further represents that none of the materials originate from prohibited or sanctioned jurisdictions or “Covered Countries” under 17 CFR Parts 240 & 249b (Conflict Minerals) and that all sourcing is lawful.
- Ownership Warranty: Seller affirms full legal ownership of all items, free from liens or encumbrances.
- Indemnification: Seller agrees to indemnify and hold Aurora harmless from any loss, claim, or liability arising from misrepresentation, fraud, regulatory breach, or unlawful sourcing.
13.2 Seller Channels (Mail-In and In-Person)
Sellers may transact by:
- Mail-in shipment, or
- in-person drop-off only if pre-arranged and pre-discussed with Aurora, and subject to additional verification and procedures.
13.3 Eligible and Prohibited Materials
Eligible materials may include jewelry, scrap gold, coins, bars, platinum, palladium, and sterling silver scrap.
Prohibited materials include hazardous materials, and anything containing lead or cadmium, and base metals or non-precious-metal materials (non-gold, non-silver, non-platinum, non-palladium), except where Aurora expressly agrees on a case-by-case basis (e.g., limited other metals such as rhodium or copper).
13.4 Minimum and Maximum Shipment Values
Minimum shipment quantities may be as low as:
- 10 grams of 10 karat gold, or
- 1 ounce of bullion silver, or
- fractional grams of gold bullion, or
- 50 grams or more of sterling silver.
Maximum shipment values are limited by insurance coverage terms (including IFS Inforsure limits).
14. Seller Shipping, Packaging & Insurance
Sellers may ship using Aurora-provided insured labels or their own carrier labels.
14.1 Self-Shipping with Seller-Provided Labels
If the Seller ships with their own label:
- Aurora assumes no responsibility for loss, damage, or delay during transit.
- The Seller bears full responsibility for insurance and proper packaging.
14.2 Shipping with Aurora’s Provided Insured Label (FedEx)
Sellers using Aurora’s insured FedEx label (including via QR code) agree:
- Shipping Costs: All label and transit costs are deducted from the final payout.
- FedEx Express Boxes: Use official FedEx Express boxes (available at FedEx Office/Ship Centers).
- Custom Boxes: If using a custom box, provide dimensions and total weight before shipping.
- Double-Boxing Required: Failure to double-box may void insurance coverage.
- Declared Weight & Dimensions: Variations may affect quoted shipping cost.
- Drop-off Requirements: Packages must be dropped off only at staffed FedEx Office or Ship Center locations (not drop boxes).
- Documentation: Each parcel must include Seller’s legal name, phone number, and declared itemized value.
- Insurance Terms: Coverage is facilitated through IFS Inforsure Inc. per its policy and exclusions.
14.3 Insurance Coverage Window
Coverage (when applicable) applies from FedEx acceptance to signed delivery at Aurora’s designated commercial address.
14.4 Insurance Coverage & Limits
- Maximum insured value: $250,000 per address per day.
- Shipments without a declared value default to $100 maximum coverage.
- Insurance coverage for items shipped to residential addresses is capped at $4,999 unless otherwise approved in writing by Aurora Gold.
Any insurance coverage exceeding the $250,000 limit per address per day is considered null and void.
14.5 Packaging and Drop-Off Requirements (Mandatory)
Insurance does not cover losses due to insufficient packaging, unauthorized shipping methods, or drop-offs at unauthorized locations. Drop-offs at unmanned drop boxes and third-party collection points are prohibited and may void coverage.
14.6 Claims Process and Deadlines
- Reporting Claims: Claims for loss or damage must be reported to Aurora within 24 hours of receiving notification of loss and no later than 15 days from the shipping date. Failure to report within this timeframe may nullify coverage.
- Cooperation: Sellers must cooperate fully in the claims process, including providing required documentation, statements, and participating in examinations under oath if requested by the insurer. Non-cooperation may nullify coverage.
- Claims Decision: All claims decisions are made by the insurer or its authorized claims agent. Aurora is not responsible for claims decisions or payouts made by the insurer.
14.7 Important Seller Shipping Warning (Do Not Ship to Notice Address)
Important: Do not ship materials directly to Aurora’s Benton Street notice address.
Contact Aurora before any Seller shipment to receive proper instructions and an approved, insured shipping label. Aurora receives Seller shipments at a designated commercial/remote receiving location that is provided to approved Sellers.
Unauthorized shipments sent to the Benton Street notice address may be refused or returned at the sender’s expense.
15. Seller Intake, Melt & Valuation
15.1 Valuation Method
Aurora may, at its discretion, melt items for homogenized evaluation or pay based on X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) analysis.
15.2 Spot Price Basis
Payouts are based on Aurora’s internal Spot BID at time of intake. Public “spot” prices are for reference only.
15.3 Intake Lock Timing
Spot BID is locked at intake, typically within 1 hour of delivery (up to 4 hours during high volume).
15.4 Optional Seller Hedge / Pre-Lock Program (Gold Content)
Aurora may offer Sellers the option to lock or hedge up to 75% of the Seller’s stated gold content at shipping, subject to Aurora’s approval and procedures.
- If approved and implemented, the Seller’s final settlement statement will reflect that 75% of the payable gold content is priced at the lock spot price, and the remainder is priced at Aurora’s intake Spot BID.
- Pre-locks are based on Seller-provided information and are subject to adjustment based on actual XRF/melt results.
- Aurora may limit, decline, or discontinue this option at any time.
15.5 Commitment Upon Intake; No Withdrawal
Once items are intaked and the Spot BID is locked, melting is imminent; materials are committed to process and cannot be withdrawn or returned.
15.6 Finality of Results
X-Ray results are final and binding. When results are recorded and payout is calculated using the applicable Spot BID (and any approved pre-lock structure), the payout is issued and the transaction becomes final upon payment.
16. Seller Payouts
16.1 Default Method
Default Method: eCheck, emailed within 72 business hours of intake (Monday–Friday).
16.2 Optional Methods and Fees
- ACH Transfer: $10 fee (deducted)
- Wire Transfer: $25 fee (deducted)
16.3 Processing Time
Typically 1–3 business days post-intake; may vary during high-volume periods.
16.4 Finality of Transaction
Once payout is issued, the sale is final and closed.
17. Seller Risk Disclosure, Non-Passing Items, Rejection, and Errors
17.1 Risk Disclosure
Seller acknowledges and accepts that:
- Precious-metal prices fluctuate; Aurora is not responsible for price changes after intake (or after any approved lock event).
- Melt and X-Ray results may differ from expectations due to alloy or solder variations.
- Insurance may be voided if packaging or shipment rules are not followed.
- Processing times may vary due to holidays, peak periods, or carrier delays.
17.2 Non-Passing or Questionable Items
- Counterfeit or misrepresented items may be held for review; fraudulent items may be destroyed or reported to authorities.
- Retention period: non-passing items may be held up to 5 years.
- Aurora can provide statements and photos upon request.
- Returns are permitted only in cases of Aurora’s internal error and absence of fraud.
17.3 Material Rejection & Unclaimed Property
Aurora may refuse, reject, or return any material that fails intake, is unsafe, or presents compliance risk. If rejected material is not retrieved within 30 days after notice, Aurora may dispose of it without further liability.
17.4 Error Correction
In the event of a calculation or clerical error, Aurora reserves the right to correct the payout or recover overpayments.
17.5 Seller Taxes & Reporting
All prices and payouts exclude taxes and fees. Seller is solely responsible for any applicable taxes, filings, or reporting obligations.
18. Consignments
Consignment services (if offered) are available only by separate agreement. If you enter into a consignment arrangement with Aurora, additional written terms may apply. In the event of a conflict, the consignment agreement controls for that consignment.
19. Risk Acknowledgment; No Investment, Tax, or Legal Advice
19.1 Risk Acknowledgment
You acknowledge that market prices for precious metals are volatile and influenced by many factors. Aurora is not responsible for losses due to market fluctuations. You agree to make all purchase or sale decisions independently.
Under certain market or other conditions (including technological or other disruptions), you may not be able to liquidate purchased products or liquidate them at prices acceptable to you.
19.2 No Advice
Aurora does not provide investment, tax, or legal advice. Any educational resources, market commentary, or other content is for informational purposes only and may be inaccurate or outdated. You are making your decisions wholly for yourself and accept full responsibility for your decisions.
